Part-Time CFO Services
CFO Services provides your company with the high-level expertise of an experienced chief financial officer on an outsourced, part-time basis.
Primary Activities:
- Provide financial advisory support in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, business development support, sales support, deal structuring, etc.
- Provide strategic level support as needed relative to fund raising, analysis of new markets, M & A initiatives, etc.
- Create 5 year financial pro forma to be used as part of the fundraising process.
- Provide guidance and support on assisting management through the fundraising process (e.g. creation of the executive summary, investment presentations, etc.)
- Develop and implement a financial/operational reporting package to support the needs of the company.
- Provide oversight for company administrative functions including contract administration, human resources, accounting, banking and treasury, facility management, investor relations, and legal.
- Support special projects as needed.

Primary Activities:

- Manage a professional services (billable) organization from proposal to billing.
- Allow CEO to focus on sales, marketing and R & D aspects of the business.

Business Modeling & Planning Services
CFO Services will also provide a service that will allow your company to have a working financial model of your business that can be used to support equity or debt related fundraising efforts.
Primary Activities:
- Working with the CEO and/or CFO of the company, quickly identify the key business drivers that support the business.
- Build a complete, multi-year financial model including P & L, Balance Sheet and CashFlow that can be used with commercial lenders or investors.
- Evaluate your business plan and provide writing and editing support to the business plan/executive summary as needed.

Sales Compensation & Planning Program
CFO Services is prepared to deliver the following under its Sales Compensation and Planning Program (SCPP):
- A summary report with an analysis of the following items:
- An assessment of the reasonableness of the company financial targets;
- An assessment of quota targets, earnings summary at plan, and staffing levels;
- A comparison of the plans to industry standards to ensure competitiveness.
- Written sales compensation plans:
- For each functional group within the sales organization that had a variable compensation element, a plan document will be created. For example, there would be a plan for the sales executive and a separate plan for sales management;
- The plan document outlines corporate and sales organization goals and objectives to ensure alignment, define the assigned sales territory either geographically or by account or both, and define the primary activities that are covered by base salary. All plan documents require a signature by each plan participant, ensuring thorough rollout of the plan across participants.
- Financial Models
- For each plan a financial model will be created to demonstrate what target earnings will be at plan, under plan and over plan. Model can also be used for what/if analysis to assess cost impacts to the company and compensation impacts to the sales executive as variables to the plan are modified.
- An assessment of your Sales Management System used to drive goals including a review of:
- Sales Cycle
- Pipeline management system
- Deal management
- Account management and tracking
- How imbedded is sales into culture of company
- Training
- Coach and train all affected sales organization employees including sales executives and sales management. In addition sales operations staff that will be administering the plan will also be trained;
- Include one follow up session to review the company’s progress.
CFO Services will deliver all or part of its SCPP offering for a fixed fee based on company size, number of plans required, and the number of commissionable products. It is estimated that this service offering can be completed in 4 to 6 weeks of elapsed time subject to availability of resources by the client.

Special Projects
For larger clients, CFO Services can provide project management along with financial and business capability for large projects where internal bandwidth is not available. Examples of projects would be:
- Assist management of companies who are pursuing an IPO strategy relative to the preparation of the S-1, including co-ordination with auditors, legal, investment banking, and investors.
- Establish credit/debt facilities for the business working with major banking institutions.
- M & A transactions ranging from due diligence support, to acting as the PM on the transaction to ensure that the deal gets done timely and within corporate expectations in terms of cost and terms and conditions.
- Valuation services in support of M & A transactions
- Real estate lease negotiations for expansion or new space, including coordinating floor layouts, assessing furniture and fixture requirements, negotiations with landlord and subcontractors/suppliers.
- PM for large system implementations in terms of gaining user acceptance to the system.
- Support and negotiate complex business development transactions such as the purchase of new technology that will be resold, royalty arrangements with third party organizations, etc.
